Tri-County Mental Health Services, within the main lobby of the Northland Human Services building from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday May 5, 2017.
Race Day Registration: will begin at 7:30 a.m. Runners Start: 8:30 a.m. Walkers: Next Wave
9:45 a.m. for the runners
All paid registrants will receive a participant t-shirt and recognition item for the completion of the run/walk. Additionally, the top runners in each respective age bracket will receive a medal in recognition of their top placement.
Since this is a family event, a Kids Run will take place at 9:30 a.m. that morning for all youth that are present and that wish to participate. A course will be set up for the kids near the main shelter at Happy Rock Park, located at the same location as race check-in. All kids that participate will receive ribbons in recognition of the completion of the Kids Run.
Tri-County Mental Health Services
Tri-County Mental Health Services, a local nonprofit serving the Kansas City Northland, provides nationally recognized behavioral health services that include mental health, substance use treatment and prevention and wellness activities to Clay, Platte and Ray counties. This special event will support our Children Services department that provides community support services, after-school and summer social programs, and other care needed to help children and their family.
Proceeds from this run and walk will help sustain our holiday assistance program and other initiatives for youth and their families living in the Kansas City Northland. Additionally, other initiatives the proceeds will support are the after-school and summer day programs.
