Four distances and One Unforgettable Day

Come see what everyone is talking about!  The VCU Health Cap2Cap 2017 event, celebrating the Virginia Capital Trail.  Do you want to spend the day touring historic plantations and farms while traversing 100 miles? Or do you feel more like a challenging but gorgeous 50-miler? How about a comfortable 25 miles or a 15-mile fun ride all along the Virginia Capital Trail? All distances offer captivating scenery and a fantastic day of fitness and fun!  We are excited to keep our consolidated venue located at the Charles City County Courthouse after last year's event was such a huge success!  One big party, vendor expo and post-ride celebration following the ride.  Each historic route brings you back to where you started -- happy, hungry and ready for more Cap2Cap fun!

The Route

Take in the abundant beauty as the route brings you through Civil and Revolutionary War battlefields and across farmland that remains largely unchanged since our country’s colonial days. When available along your chosen route, please hop on the Virginia Capital Trail and enjoy a safe spin on this world-class amenity!

The Virginia Capital Trail Foundation

The Virginia Capital Trail Foundation (VCTF) is a nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) organization, with a mission to enhance, promote, manage and advocate for the continued development of the Virginia Capital Trail, a 52-mile dedicated multi-use trail connecting Richmond and Williamsburg along the historic and beautiful Route 5 corridor.

To make the Trail the world-class attraction it should be, the Foundation raises money to promote it within the region, the state, and the nation through partnerships and larger trail affiliations. The VCTF is also charged with enhancing the Trail by installing signs, trailheads, benches, and other amenities to make the trail experience safe, educational, and—most importantly—unforgettable.

To pursue this mission, the VCTF depends on contributions from people like you. Consider making a tax-deductible donation when you register.

NOTE: REGISTRATIONS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE, AND MAY NOT BE DEFERRED TO ANOTHER YEAR. NO EXCEPTIONS. THE CAP2CAP TAKES PLACE RAIN OR SHINE.

(Online registrations will incur an online processing fee.)
